Zusammenfassung: | A method for manufacturing a three-dimensional glass article, which is provided to produce a thin glass article with a curve periphery, includes steps as follows. First, a shaping furnace and a mold are provided. The mold is formed with a shaping surface with a desired surface profile of a shaped glass article. A glass is picked up and is disposed on the mold. Then, the mold is moved into the furnace. The glass is heated via short-wave infrared ray until to a viscosity in the range of 108-1013 poise. A pressing mold is provided to press the glass and is stayed for a predetermined time, until heat from the glass is transferred to the mold. Then, remove the pressing mold. The glass is shrunk slightly because its temperature is dropped, and the mold is expanded slightly because its temperature is raised. Until the glass article has rigidness and partially escapes from the mold, the glass article is removed from the mold. |
