Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a composite polarizing plate, wherein on one side of its polarizing film a transparent protective film is laminated by a first adhesive layer, on the other side of the polarizing film a first retardation film comprised of alkene-based resins is laminated by a second adhesive layer. Further, on the exterior side of the first retardation film, a second retardation film composed of a three-layer structure is laminated by an adhesive layer, wherein the three-layer structure is so disposed that both sides of its core layer that is composed of styrene-based resins are formed with skin layers that are composed of methylacrylic-based resins containing rubber particles. Also provided is an IPS mode LCD, which is disposed with the composite polarizing plate on at least one side of its IPS mode liquid crystal cell.
