Zusammenfassung:	A detector for detecting connection of video signal applied to a multi-media apparatus is provided. The multi-media apparatus having a plurality of video output ports for user to select one of the video output port connecting to a TV set. Also, the detector is capable of detecting video signal on the video output port. When the user changes the connection from the first video output port to the second video output port, the detectof is capable of controlling a first DAC to stop generating a first analog video signal from the first video output port and controlling a second DAC to generate a second analog video signal from the second video output port.
