Zusammenfassung:An innovative technology of fabricating light aggregate made by waste porcelain tile sludge and reservoir sediment was developed. First, porcelain tile sludge and reservoir sediment were sieved into coarse and fine materials, respectively. The fine porcelain tile sludge was then mixed with the fine reservoir sediment at a certain weight ratio. The mixed material was consequently processed in ball milling, attaining a well-prepared material with uniform compositions. Therefore, green bodies of light aggregate were made by one of the following processes: spray granulation-molding, dewatering-extrusion, or dewatering-granulation. The green bodies were sintered at a range of heating rate to final reach temperatures of 1120-1180 DEG C. After sintering, furnace temperature was naturally dropped down to room temperature, and the light aggregate was obtained; meanwhile, the purposes of zero-waste and resource-utilization were also achieved.
