Multi-domain vertically aligned liquid crystal display and method for fabcricating color filter substrate

A multi-domain vertically aligned liquid crystal display including an active device array substrate, a color filter substrate, a sealant, and a liquid crystal layer is provided. The color filter substrate is disposed above the active device array substrate, wherein the color filter substrate includes a substrate, color filtering films, a common electrode, alignment protrusions, spacers and at least a barricade. The common electrode is disposed on the color filtering films. The alignment protrusions, the spacers, and the barricade are disposed on the common electrode, wherein a sidewall of the barricade is substantially aligned with a sidewall of the substrate. The sealant is disposed between the active device array substrate and the color filter substrate. The liquid crystal layer is surrounded by the sealant and between the active device array substrate and the color filter substrate.
