Zusammenfassung:	A transmissive optical encoder including a base, an optical emitter, an optical sensor and a lens is disclosed. The base has a body and an indentation formed on the body. The optical emitter has two metal terminals and a luminosity wherein one end of each metal terminal has an end body, a cover section parallel to the end body and an opening formed on the cover section. The lens corresponds to the luminosity of the optical emitter and the opening of the optical emitter corresponds to the lens such that the light emitted from the optical emitter is passed through the opening and the lens of the metal terminal in order to provide optical-communication between the optical emitter and the optical sensor.
