The invention provides a search system and method of wireless network simple setting process. The search method includes a rapid search and a background search. The rapid search can find service set identifier (SSID) of the neighboring base station in a short time, and displays the search result in a list. Moreover, it uses a longer time to operate a background search to find service set identifier (SSID) of the neighboring base station. After comparing two search results, it adds the background search result in the list. The invention increases a background search function to improve adaptability and flexibility of wireless network simple setting process so as to achieve completeness of wireless network search without increasing complexity.
