Zusammenfassung:	Fabrication methods of water-soluble magnetic nanoparticles are disclosed. In the present methods, an organometallic complex comprising a water-soluble polymeric ligand is thermally decomposed to form a water-soluble magnetic nanoparticle. The surfaces of the magnetic nanoparticle thus obtained are functionalized with water-soluble polymers and therefore can be directly used in pharmaceutical applications without further modifications.
