Flat type fluorescent lamp

The present invention relates to a flat type fluorescent lamp that can improve a light emitting efficiency and brightness by being arranged not to interrupt the straight discharge path between the corresponding discharge electrodes while preventing a defective discharge between adjacent discharge electrodes that do not correspond to each other from being incurred. The flat type fluorescent lamp includes an outer lamp body having a discharge space, a plurality of discharge electrodes installed on sidewalls of the outer lamp body, and a plurality of tube spacer installed in the outer lamp body in a direction perpendicular to a discharge path, the tube spacers functioning to define an internal discharge path and being arranged not to interrupt the straight discharge path between the corresponding discharge electrodes while interrupting the discharge path between adjacent discharge electrodes that do not correspond or oppose to each other.
