To provide a header contact that allows firm fixation of a header housing while preventing a soldered portion from becoming detached, and thereby assures the function of signal connection to improve the electrical reliability of a header connector. The header contact 110 is provided in the header connector 100 that is to be mounted on a surface of an object B having conductor patterns FP, SP for mounting. The header contact 110 comprises: a contact portion 112 that comes into contact with a socket contact 220 of a counterpart socket connector 200; and a first connecting portion 113 and a second connecting portion 114 to be soldered onto the conductor patterns FP, SP of the object for mounting.
