Method and device for thermal exhaust gas purification

The invention relates to a method for the thermal purification of exhaust gases, whereby combustion gas and combustion air are introduced directly at a spatial separation from each other into the combustion chamber (7) and the gas streams mixed by turbulence such that two opposing flame fronts are generated and the exhaust gases are introduced between the flame fronts. The supplies for combustion gas (4) and combustion air (1, 2) open directly into the combustion chamber (7) in the form of nozzles (10, 14, 16), several nozzles (10, 16) being provided in a row for both combustion gas and combustion air, both rows of nozzles are arranged close to each other, a second opposing row of nozzles is provided for one of the reaction partners and the introduction of exhaust gas into the combustion chamber (7) is between said opposing rows of nozzles.
