Zusammenfassung:The present invention aims at providing a liquid display that has a structure for changing the luminescent dot pixel into the extinct dot pixel, and a method for forming the extinct dot pixel. A method for forming the extinct dot pixels is used to cut the pixel electrode at the end of the opening portion 14. Alternatively, it may have such a configuration that a gain 32 is formed on a CS circuit 18 of a pixel 12, then the laser irradiates the pixel electrode through the gain 32 from the substrate side, thereby cutting the pixel electrode 16. Furthermore, it may be such a configuration that a window 34, instead of the gain 32, is formed and the laser irradiates through the window 34.
