The drive unit has an internal combustion engine and gearbox with fluid cooling circuit and coolant pump and fan. The pump is mounted inside a chamber defined on three sides by the end wall of the crank housing facing the pump and of the intermediate housing attached to the end wall of the crank housing, as well as by the ventilator shaft (4.1) parallel to the crankshaft and by the rear edge of the ventilator wheel. The pump is located inside the flight path of the ventilator wheel. The end wall of the crank housing and intermediate housing form the spiral housing for the pump. The pump rotor is mounted on the crankshaft or on its extension.
