Zusammenfassung:	A synergistic herbicidal agent comprises a compound wherein X is chlorine or bromine, Y is hydrogen if X is Cl or is chlorine if X is Br, and Z is (C1-C4)-alkyl, and a compound wherein R is bromine or iodine and R1 is hydrogen, alkali metal, ammonium, formyl or alkanoyl having up to 8 carbon atoms. The invention also provides the use of such agents for the selective control of mono- and di- cotyledonous weeds in cereals.
