Zusammenfassung:Protein in body fluids, e.g., urine, is detected by contacting a sample of the body fluid with a diagnostic agent comprising an absorbent carrier impregnated with a pH indicator of the octahalosulfophthalein group, a buffer, and at least one linear or branched chain polypropylene glycol immiscible with water; the resulting test papers are highly sensitive to protein without being subject to interfering effects by nitrogen-containing compounds.
