METHOD OF PREPARING DERIVATIVES OF 3-AMINOINDAZOLECARBOXYLIC ACID

1490306 Indazoles BAYER AG 28 Oct 1975 [13 Dec 1974] 44299/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the formula where Y is alkoxy, alkylamino or dialkylamino, R is H or methyl, R1 is H, methyl or formyl and R2 is 1, 2 or 3 substituents selected from H, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, acylamino, alkoxycarbonylamino, halogen, trifluoromethyl, cyano and alkoxycarbonyl and salts thereof. The compounds may be prepared by reacting a compound of the formula with a compound of the formula Y-CO-X or R6NCO, where Y is OR3 or where R3, R4, R5 and R6 are alkyl and X is halogen, or, if Y is OR3, the radical -O-COOR3, in the presence of inert organic solubilizing agents and, if appropriate, in the presence of an acid-binding agent and thereafter, if appropriate, in a further reaction step the amino group in the 3-position is formylated with formic acid or methylated with formaldehyde in the presence of formic acid. The compounds exhibit analgesic, antipyretic and antiphlogistic action.
