DRIVE OF DEVICE FOR WINDING WEFT ONTO SHUTTLE PIRN IN WAVE-SHEDDING LOOM

Drive for the winder of a shuttle loader on wave-shed weaving machines. The briefly stoppable drive with a stepping gear, a toothed gear and a power take-off gear is to be designed for controllable continuous operation with a specific bobbin build-up. A stepping gear is designed as a cam-type stepping gear with a roller-tipped star wheel, whilst the toothed gear has a ratio of at least 1:10 in the last stage, and the last two gearwheel stages have a plurality of driving wheels for each gearwheel stage. The first gearwheel stage is preferably a change-wheel stage. The winder and the last gearwheel stage are preferably designed as plastic injection mouldings. The winders can be assigned a traversing gear.
