Zusammenfassung:An apparatus for the low-temperature homogenisation and working of ingredients for food-stuffs and feed- stuffs such as dough is provided which permits a rolling kneading action to be effected on the ingredients without causing substantial shearing thereof. The apparatus comprises a planetary arrangement of flighted spindles (1, 2), the planetary spindles (2) being disposed around a central spindle (1). The flights on the planetary spindles (2a) engage with the at least one flight (1a) of the central spindle and also with at least one flight (4a) formed on the internal wall of a cylindrical housing (4). The ingredients which are to be gently homogenised and worked by being subjected to a rolling kneading action between the planetary spindles (2), the central spindle (1) and the internal wall of the housing (4). A thrust ring (3) is provided at the discharge end of the housing.
