Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is a process for obtaining a novel industrially susceptible strain of Streptomyces Clavuligerus CCM 4628 microorganism producing clavulanic acid which is an inhibitor of betalactamase. Its antimicrobial activities are insignificant but, when used in combination with antibiotics - penicillines and cefalosporines - against antibiotics-resistant bacteria, they exhibit strong synergic activity. The said strain also exhibits reguired stability and is capable of producing higher yields of clavulanic acid when compared to the mother strain thereof. UV radiation, as a mutagation factor, was made used of in the process of the strain cultivation.
