Zusammenfassung:	A method and an apparatus enables detection of the presence of particles in a substrate. The base material of the substrate has electromagnetic properties substantially differing from the corresponding electromagnetic properties of the particles. Substrate comprising such particles which allow to recognise easily a document as being a genuine security document in order to prevent the document from being copied or in order to contribute to its authentication. Spôsob a zariadenie umožňuje detekciu prítomnostičastíc v substráte, ktorého základný materiál má elektromagnetické vlastnosti, ktoré sa podstatným spôsobom odlišujú od zodpovedajúcich elektromagnetických vlastností častíc. Substrát obsahuje takétočastice, ktoré umožňujú ľahko rozpoznať, či je dokument pravý cenný dokument, aby sa zabránilo skopírovaniu dokumentu, alebo aby sa potvrdila jeho pravosť.
