Oral pharmaceutical composition comprising monoamine oxidase B inhibitors and its use

Pharmaceutical composition for oral administration comprising a carrier and, as an active ingredient, a monoamine oxidase B inhibitor which is in the form of a fast-dispersing dosage form designed rapidly to release the active ingredient in the oral cavity formulated to promote pre-gastric absorption of the monoamine oxidase B inhibitor. The pharmaceutical composition is useful for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of depression and Alzheimer's disease and for the treatment of a disease related to the sub-normal levels of phenylethylamine. This invention also relates to a process for preparing such a pharmaceutical composition.
