Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is a methylizobuthylketone regeneration from a 4-methyl-2-pentanol fraction obtained from the reaction mixture in the light fraction rectification after aminodiphenylamine reduction alkylation, which is characterised in that this fraction is subjected to another rectification in the presence of a slightly suspended nickel catalyst at temperature ranging from 80 to 180 degrees Celsius and pressure ranging from 0.07 to 0.8 Mpa. The catalyst amount is preferably kept in the range between 0.01 to 10 wt.%, relative to the weight of the 4-methyl-2- -pentanol fraction.
