Zusammenfassung:	A method for the preparation of a compound of formula (I) is characterised by reacting 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate in the presence of methylene chloride and treating the thus formed reaction mixture with o-aminophenyl cyclopropyl ketone and triethylamine in the presence of methylene chlorine. Also disclosed is o-aminophenyl cyclopropyl ketone, which is an intermediate of said compound. A herbicidal composition comprising a urea derivative of formula (I) and an inert carrier; a method for selectively controlling undesirable plant species in the presence of crops or in transplanted or direct-seeded rice.
