Zusammenfassung:Process for the preparation of antibiotic, cefepime dihydrochloride hydrate, containing up to 5 wt.% of an anti-isomer and of the delta2 isomer, which process comprises reacting a silylated derivative of 7-amino-3-[(1-methyl-1- -pyrrolidinio)methyl]ceph-3-em-4-carboxylate with the syn-isomer of 2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-methoxyimino acetyl chloride hydrochloride with the content of the anti-isomer up to 5 wt.% in an inert organic solvent in pH of 5.0 - 7.5.
