Zusammenfassung:	Method for the preparation of disinfected, surface treated eggs, comprising that after disinfection the egg is coated with a protective layer, which is similar to the protective layer forming after oviposition. The eggs have excellent shelf life. The great economic advantage of the product manufactured according to the method of the invention, is that the shelf life values are valid at room temperature, that is contrary to the products manufactured so far, cold storage is not necessary for the conservation of the quality.
