Zusammenfassung:	The device has an activator and a driver (28) moved in a guide direction, where the activator is provided with a contact surface for engaging with the driver. A guide element is provided for guiding a movement of the activator in a direction at an angle to the guide direction. The activator is moved with the driver from an engagement position into an external engagement position. The guide element is designed as a pivot bearing, and the activator is pivotally mounted in the guide direction. A pivot axis of the guide element is aligned parallel to the guide direction. An independent claim is also included for a sliding door fitting for a furniture.
