| Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a process for production of chlorine dioxide comprising: reacting in an acidic reaction medium in a reaction vessel an alkali metal chlorate or chloric acid and methanol to generate chlorine dioxide, withdrawing from the reaction vessel a gas comprising chlorine dioxide and gaseous by-products, condensing part of the gas withdrawn to obtain a condensate; and removing the condensate from the non-condensed gas without re-circulating it back to the process for production of chlorine dioxide. |
