PROCESS FOR CONCENTRATING OF ALGAE BIOMASS WITH THE USE OF A HYDROCYCLON

The invention describes a process of concentration of the algae biomass using hydrocyclones. In view to use algae biomass for energy, the separation of algae biomass from culture media must be performed energy and cost effective, which is enabled by the use of hydrocyclones as a first phase concentration of biomass. With the correct use of hydrocyclones the living culture which is returned into the photobioreactor is less damaged. The invention describes a system which is useful for multiple photobioreactors and enables the withdrawal of a precisely determined share of biomass from photobioreactor.
