Zusammenfassung:	A coating for coating films, which comprises, dissolved in a solvent, polysilazane or a mixture of polysilazanes of the general formula -(SiR'R''-NR''')n- wherein R', R'', R''' are the same or different and independently represent hydrogen or an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl or (trialkoxysilyl)alkyl group, where n is an integer and is selected in such a manner that the polysilazane has a number-average molecular weight of from 150 to 150 000 g/mol, and at least one catalyst. The invention also relates to a method for coating films, especially polymer films, to coated films and to film composites.
