Zusammenfassung:A process for making a poly(alkyl (meth)acrylate) rubber latex includes polymerizing, in a continuous emulsion polymerization process, an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer in an aqueous medium in the presence of a surfactant according to the formula R-S03M, wherein R is alkyl or alkoxyl and M is H or a cation provides improved control of rubber particle size. A graft copolymer based on the poly(alkyl(meth)acrylate) rubber made by the process provides improved weatherability when used as an impact modifier in thermoplastic resin molding compositions.
