A method of treatment or prophylaxis of a cancer in an individual is also disclosed, the method comprising modulating the amount of a Sprouty1 polypeptide or nucleic acid in a cell of an individual. The methods are suitable for detection and treatment of breast cancer, based on our demonstration that Sprouty1 expression is down-regulated in this disease. |
