An Independent claim is also included for new beta-aminoacid n-propyl esters of formula (II'). R = 1-8C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl, 2-8C alkynyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl (optionally substituted by 1-3 1-8C alkyl), 6-18C aryl (optionally substituted by 1-3 1-8C alkyl), 7-19C aralkyl, 3-18C heteroaryl (optionally substituted by 1-3 1-8C alkyl) or 4-19C heteroaralkyl; and R' = H or as defined for R.
