Zusammenfassung:	The present invention discloses a lubrication method which lubricates a pair of sliding members with use of a lubricating oil composition. With respect to this lubrication method, at least one of the pair of sliding members contains an engineering plastic; and the lubricating oil composition contains a lubricating base oil and at least one wear inhibitor which is selected from the group consisting of a wear inhibitor that contains phosphorus as a constituent element but does not contain sulfur, a wear inhibitor that contains sulfur as a constituent element but does not contain phosphorus, and a wear inhibitor that contains phosphorus and sulfur as constituent elements.
