ABSORBENT ARTICLE

An absorbent article (1) having: an absorbent body (30) arranged in at least an excretion orifice contact area (S1) and a rear area (S3); a skin-surface sheet (10) provided further on the skin surface side than the absorbent body (30); and a non-skin-surface sheet (20) provided further on the non-skin-surface side than the absorbent body (30). The absorbent body (30) has a first low basis weight area (41) that extends in the width direction (W), between the excretion orifice contact area (S1) and the rear area (S3). The skin-surface sheet (10) has an un-joined area (46) extending from the first low basis weight area (41) to an area further on the rear side than the first low basis weight area (41), said un-joined area (46) being not joined to a member provided further on the non-skin-surface side than the skin-surface sheet (10). The absorbent article (1) has a folding line (F2) around which the absorbent article (1) is folded, extending in the width direction (W) across an area further to the rear than the first low basis weight area (41) in the un-joined area (46).
