A method for producing water-absorbent resin particles by reversed-phase suspension polymerization of a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer in a carrier fluid, wherein the method for producing water-absorbent resin particles comprises conducting the reversed-phase suspension polymerization reaction in the presence of an organic acid monoglyceride.
