Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a rope inspection system of an elevator, which does not need extra installation space, can measure mark intervals on a rope with high precision, and can perform highly reliable strength management. The present invention is provided with a pulse generator (29), a marker detector (28), and a computation device (30). A pulse generator (29) generates a pulse signal in synchronization with the rotation of the hoist. The mark detector (28) includes a passenger car-side meshing region on the hoist sheave and is provided on the passenger car side with respect to the hoist sheave, or includes a counterweight-side meshing region on the hoist sheave and is provided on the counterweight side with respect to the hoist sheave, and detects each mark provided on the surface of therope. The calculation device (30) operates the passenger car in a predetermined direction on the basis of the relationship between the installation position of the mark detector (28) and the engagement region, and calculates the interval between the marks.
