The microprocessor arrangement for information exchange is designed to perform data transfer operations from certain external two-way data buses 51, 52, 6 to other data buses 52, 6, 51, under control by data which is presented on a microcommand bus 15 and a start bus 17. Data is transferred across units 11, 12, 2, internal two- way data buses 91, 92, and a switching arrangement 25. Besides data transfer, the microprocessor arrangement, depending on the microcommand code in question, can compute by a calculator 21 the number of transferred words, while masking or arbitration of the data transferred can occur in a data processing unit 20. At the same time as the microcommand is executed, the calculator 21, the unit 20, the register unit 7 and the switching arrangement 25 form attributes for the data being transferred, which attributes are entered into a condition operation unit 29, where a generalised condition is formed depending on which the function of a control unit 11 is switched.
