The invention relates to apparatus used to effect rescue holes in aircraft fuselage, etc. According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a gas jet cutting burner in the form of a ring-shaped combustion chamber (10), which is fitted with injection nozzles (12) and distribution pipes to supply oxidising agent and fuel to the combustion chamber (10) and a ring-shaped nozzles, which is constructed along a contour of the rescue hole that is to be cut out from an entire section of the fuselage. In the central section of the chamber there is a 'gripping organ-hole punching organ' (8), whose purpose is to punch into the wall to be cut through in order to fasten the gas jet cutting burner to the wall. The cutting burner and balloons for the oxidising agent and the fuel can be incorporated into the space between the outer and inner plate coverings of the aircraft in order to independently perform a rescue operation, making it possible in the space of a few seconds and with the greatest possible personal and functional safety, to cut out holes in the fuselage without having to wait for the arrival of rescue teams to the scene.
