Zusammenfassung: | The ignition regulator impulses are produced by means of a rotor (1) provided with a number of equally spaced magnets (2). The rotor is turned by the distributor shaft proportional to engine speed. A reed switch (3) is fixed to what is normally the contact breaker switch base and the rotor is synchronised so that a magnet causes the reed switch to open and close each time a magnet passes. A magnet may be provided for each cylinder or the number of magnets may be halved and the number of reed switches correspondingly doubled. Alternatively the rotor may be provided with equally spaced cutouts at its periphery to cover and uncover a single fixed magnet and reed switch as it rotates. The cutouts correspond to the number of cylinders. |
