Zusammenfassung:17 alpha ,21-Diesters of 17 alpha ,21-dihydroxysteroids of the pregnane series corresponding to the formula I in which the symbols X, Y, R and R have the meaning stated in Claim 1 are prepared by reacting a compound which has the group -CH2OCO(CH2)nZ in position 21, where Z is a substituent which can easily be replaced, with a compound of the formula H-NR R . The compounds are distinguished not only by a good topical antiinflammatory effect but also by an excellent systemic antiinflammatory effect.
