Zusammenfassung:1478815 Orienting suspended loads PEINER MASCHINEN - UND SCHRAUBENWERKE AG and ZIEHL-ABEGG KG 3 July 1975 [5 March 1975] 28061/75 Heading B8H A device for orienting a suspended load comprises a shaft 1 mounted for rotation with respect to a hood 9 provided with a lug 2 for suspension from a lifting rope. A load, not shown, can be attached to the lower end of the shaft 1. A rotary field generator 4 is attached to the shaft 1 and in use, produces induction currents in a flywheel 5 mounted for rotation about the shaft 1 so that rotation of the flywheel and the shaft 1 in opposite directions can be effected by the currents induced in the flywheel 5 by the generator 4.
