Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method for treating a wooden material to improve the resistance to rot and/or termites of the wooden material, wherein the wooden material is treated with a water-based formulation comprising a zirconium salt followed by a drying step at a temperature from 0 degrees C to 100 60 degrees C. The method results in a rot resistant wooden material and with an improved termite resistance compared to a wooden material treated with an improved termite resistance compared to a wooden material treated with the same waterbased formulation but dried at a higher temperature.
