Varicose vein treatment composition contains aqueous red grape plant leaf extract and water soluble aluminum salts

Composition contains an aqueous extract of the leaves from a red grape plant, at least one water-soluble aluminum salt and at least one additive. Pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition contains: (A) 0.05-75 wt.% aqueous extract of the leaves from a red grape plant; (B) 0.5- 15 wt.% one or more water-soluble aluminum salt; and (C) one or more additives. An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing the compositions comprising the following steps: (a) mixing (A), (B), water-soluble (C) and water to form a hydrophilic phase; (b) mixing water-insoluble (C) to form a lipophilic phase; (c) heating the two phases to 65-80 [deg] C; and (d) mixing the two phases, homogenizing the mixture and heating (sic) the mixture to room temperature whilst stirring.
