Rotating indicator for dimensional measurement

A measurement and/or control device is used (2), in company with a coil indicator (7), a stator (3) in the form of a water-cooled base, a coil arrangement for signal transmission (11,12), and a drive arrangement in the form of a V-belt (18) or turbine wheel. Eddy-curents are used in the measuring and control process, with the movement of the indicator (7) relative to the test object (1) considered as being composed of at least two superimposed movements relative to each other, of different speeds and movement patterns. The indicator is positioned eccentrically in or on the rotor (4) which rotates, wholly or partially, around a centre point (26), and may move in a plane to a great extent parallel with the surface of the test object or a part. The signal transmitter comprises at least one stator winding (11) and at least one rotor winding (12), the latter rotating relatively to the former. The indicator (7) is directly or indirectly connected to the rotor winding.
