Zusammenfassung:	Anesthesia and/or respirator apparatus is disclosed which includes a moistening and/or gasification chamber. The chamber is constructed such that liquid intended to be gasified or evaporated can be received from a source through a metering valve. In the preferred embodiment, the gasification chamber includes a heatable plate or the like for the heating of the supplied liquid. The apparatus means further includes a microprocessor for measuring the energy which is used for the gasification as a measure of the quantity of liquid supplied. In this regard, if certain defined functions are not fulfilled, an alarm signal is generated.
