Zusammenfassung:	The invention entails a method for production of fibreboards, which includes steam treatment of wood chips, grinding of these to a wood pulp, seasoning of a water-wood fibre suspension of this wood pulp, mixing the suspension with a bonding agent, a tempering catalyser for the bonding agent and a hydrophobic agent with consequent forming and draining of the mixture, whereby a carpet is achieved, compression of the carpet and finally heat-treatment of the fibreboards produced. The method according to the invention is characterized by in the mixture, before it is further formed introducing 2.5 - 50 weight-% peat with a moisture content of between 25% and 70% at an internal admixture ratio between the absolute dry peat and the binding agent of from 1:1 to 7:1 in the presence of 0.2 - 2 weight-% carbamide in an admixture ratio between carbamide and the binding agent of between 0.02:1 and 1:1.
