A method to secure an elastic sole onto a wooden shoe last. To this is introduced plastic foam, preferably polyurethane, in a liquid form in an upwardly open mould (6) and the last (1) is pushed down into the mould during the time the plastic foam takes to harden, secured in a fixture (5, 12).
