Zusammenfassung:	A speed governor for a hydroelectric unit includes an error signal shaper 1, an integrator 2 and a device 3 for controlling the degree of opening of the control device 4 for a water turbine, said device 3 being coupled to the output of the integrator 2. The governor further comprises a limiter 5 connected between the output of the error signal shaper 1 and the input of the integrator 2 for limiting the maximum value of the signal to the integrator 2 input to a level equal to the minimum amplitude of the integrator 2 input signal ensuring the maximum possible rate of change of the degree of opening of the control device 4.
