The transfer is caused to take place by means of a rollerway guide. Articles not discharged at 21 by a plough 20, are transferred back to the conveyer 17 by means of a pulling arm 28 which has both radial and circumferential movement. In another modification (Fig. 6, not shown), there is an intermediate conveyer disposed between the two curved conveyers at the transfer zone.
