1481060 Moulding webs E KUSTERS 2 Oct 1974 [8 Nov 1973] 42853/74 Heading B5A In a double belt machine for the production of sheets of the type described in Specification 1,405,634 in which pressure is applied to opposed belts 1, 2 by a number of separate, transversely spaced, endless roller chains located between structures 19, 20 and the belts, the roller chains each consist of a succession of rollers interconnected by flat straps lying in parallel planes perpendicular to the roller axes; the ends of the straps engage the supporting pins of the appropriate rollers, such pins being mounted so as not to protrude beyond the end faces of the rollers enabling adjacent roller chains to come close together. In Fig. 6 each roller comprises a central portion 100 and end portions 101 mounted on a pin 102, which pin does not protrude beyond the end faces of the rollers 101; adjacent rollers of a chain are joined by straps 106, 107. In Fig. 7, each roller comprises portions 100, 1001 and 10011 with end roller portions 101 with a single interconnecting strap such as 1101, 110111 in the gaps between adjacent roller portions.
